Removing Toxic Substance in the Human Body
Today, people live with the fact that the environment in which they live is no longer comfortable. One fact that needs to be held is the pollution can occur anywhere and anytime. However, it should also be noted that the pollution is not only a matter of emissions of motor vehicles and likewise, but also about the little things that happen around us such as: cigarette smoke, harmful chemicals contained in food we eat, or drugs. That entire dangerous substance is harmful toxins that need to be neutralized. Or in other words, detoxification is an important thing that needs to be done so people can continue to feel healthy.
Detoxification, or in short better known as “detox”, is a medical treatment aimed at removing toxic substances contained in the human body. In the conventional medical care, things like that could be removed by using an antidote, or dialysis technique and sometimes (in few cases) with therapy. However, in this era, there are many solution (often offered by advertising) which also offering a variety of food or beverage products that claimed to be able to get rid of toxins in the body periodically. Some sources also say there is a kind of alternative medicine who also claimed to be able to get rid of toxins in the body using herbal medicines, electromagnetic treatments (such as the Aqua Detox), although on the other hand, this kind of alternative medicine has not received scientific recognition in the field of modern medicine.
But it should be noted too, detoxification is generally divided into three types, namely “removing alcohol from the body” (known as alcohol detoxification), “removing additive substances” (drug detoxification), and metabolic detoxification.
History of Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the art of alternative medicine that tries to cure patients’ disease in a way by manipulation and insertion needles into specific points located in the body. Such treatment is not only aim to cure disease, but also prevent it. It is also believed to serves as an infertility treatment. In addition, the art of acupuncture is also believed to contain elements of treatment that can not be fully understood by modern medical science.
Medical treatment with a needle is said to have originated from China, and is believed to have been there in the second century BC. From the country of origin, theory and practice of acupuncture art was later spread to Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. While there may be differences with what is taught in his native country, but that art of medicine has been practiced widely and in different ways in different parts of the world. In Europe for example, examination of the 5,000-year-old mummy called Otzi the Iceman has identified a set of 15 pieces tattoos on his body, some of the tattoos which placed at certain points of the body are now known as contemporary acupuncture points.
In essence, treatment with acupuncture has a different concept as we might know in modern medical science. Traditional acupuncture was developed with a priority to know the human anatomy and cell theory based on modern biological sciences. One powerful feature that can be found on acupuncture treatment is the existence of qi, or energy that surrounds human body, a thing which of course can not be proved scientifically by modern medical science.

Aromatherapy is one type of alternative treatment which is done (but not limited to) by burning a special candle and it is aim to altering human mood, make you feel relaxed and comfortable, and at the same time aims to make you feel healthy. In general, these treatments use plant materials called essential oils.
The concept of aromatherapy was first discovered by a small number of scientists and doctors in Europe around the early 1990s. It is widely use when Renè-Maurice Gattefosè discovered new treatment techniques using lavender oil. In its development, a surgeon named Jean Valnet, developed the use of essential oil used as an antiseptic to treat soldiers wounded in the Second World War. Thus, many examples of alternative medicine that uses aromatherapy developed from modern medical science. It is should also be noted that aromatherapy has three different types of treatment methods: the first is used to give fragrance to the surrounding environment (called aerial diffusion), second to relieve respiratory and give a sense of comfort (called direct inhalation), and finally to the treatment of human skin (called topical application).
Nowadays, those various types of aromatherapy can be obtained freely, either in a large supermarket, skin-care shop, or beauty shop. Most people want to feel healthy, and one way which can be achieved is using aromatherapy to refresh their bodies and minds.
